New businesses can register now and get taxpayer identification number (TIN) online at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) .

“Kahit hindi na pumunta ng BIR makakapagregister na ng business at makakahuha na ng TIN online”, said BIR Bataan Human Resource Management and Admin Officer Gemo Espinosa.

Espinosa said initially it will be quite difficult but eventually taxpayers will be accustomed to it.

“Sa una lang mahirap yan kalaunan masasanay din ang mga taxpayers”, he said.

BIR has introduced ORUS, an online platform that provides assistance on registration of new business; application for TIN; and viewing and updating of taxpayer information.

BIR Bataan Regional District Officer Merlyn Vicente said digitalization efforts aims to improve services to taxpayers.
